NOW HIRING: (Paid) Research Intern

ION studios is a design consultancy with an impact-centered approach to service, learning, experience and venture design. We design strategies and services that maximize social impact for Non-Profits, NGOs, Foundations, Corporates, Startups, and Investors. 

We will be hosting a (paid) intern to assist on two projects in the coming months: a set of social impact design tools, and a report on the state of social impact around the world. We are looking for someone with the skills and knowledge to help us investigate a comprehensive global landscape of social change (across Non-Profits, NGO’s, Foundations, Social Enterprises and Governments). 

While you bring your skills and passion for research this is an opportunity for you to learn and practice Human Centered Design, get your hands dirty in applied theory and knowledge, and contribute very directly to work that will help people change the world for the better.

Duties

Landscape Research on methods,missions of social change and impact

Co-Create and manage two surveys of global change makers

Assist with synthesis and presentation of results

Requirements

Experience in survey design

Well versed in social science research methods

Advanced coursework in two or more areas of social science including but not limited to: History, Information Science, International Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology

Comfort with ambiguity

Self-starter who can work equally well independently and as part of a team

Ability to spend at least one day per week on premises at our office in the Oakland Hills.

20 hours per week (average), $22.50/hr
